Cause Description:
CARE began organizing with five priorities in mind to keep in focus. Those five priorities are 1) To preserve the life of as many companion animals as possible, 2) To provide temporary shelter for homeless companion animals, and place these animals in suitable permanent homes, 3) To reduce companion animal overpopulation, 4) To provide education and outreach activities regarding companion animal care to the community, 5) To generate the funds necessary to maintain a quality shelter facility and operation. The mission statement established is that "The mission of CARE is to prevent abuse, promote adoption, and educate the public in the proper and ethical care and treatment of companion animals."
